Zaharopoulos Scholarship

Home > Scholarships > Zaharopoulos Scholarship
In 1951, under the Displaced Persons Act, Nick and Christina Zaharopoulos immigrated from Greece to the US with their four young children after the Civil War and German occupation in Greece. Pat Zaharopolus created this award to honor her parents who worked hard to give their four children the gift of higher education. This award will provide UCR students with the same chance for upward mobility. One $800 scholarship will be awarded.
