Ronald E. Neumann Scholarship

Formerly a Deputy Assistant Secretary and three times an Ambassador (Algeria, Bahrain, and Afghanistan), Ronald E. Neumann currently serves as the president of the American Academy of Diplomacy. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in political science. Ambassador Neumann was married during his last year as an undergraduate student and lived in family student housing. He continued to live in family student housing until he graduated with his master’s degree in 1967. Ambassador Neumann fondly remembers his experience as a married graduate student.

Criteria for selection

  • U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident.
  • Graduate Student status by Fall 2012 enrolled in a minimum of 12 units per quarter.
  • Married student status.
  • Continuing UCR student.
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Major from CHASS.

Please deliver FOUR copies in one manilla envelope to the UCR Alumni Association no later than 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3 2012. Extraneous materials will not be reviewed (Resumes or CV). Notifications will be made in May. Two $2,500 Scholarships will be awarded.
