The inductees ceremony will be on Sept. 17, 2011. Jim Christiansen '77 is the latest artist to have his work showcased in the Goldware Family Library at the Alumni & Visitors Center.
A former cartoonist for the UCR Highlander newspaper, Jim left Riverside for the Central Valley to join the family business. He has also served as a chess book publisher, a cartoonist and has won several regional awards for his watercolors.
A special reception with artist, Jim Christiansen will be held on Thursday, November 18 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. All alumni are invited to attend. Please RSVP to (951) 827-2586.

The UCR Alumni Association (UCRAA) is seeking alumni leaders who have a passion for UCR and higher education. The UCRAA Board of Directors is a dedicated group of volunteers who establish Alumni Association policy, review programs and services, and provide feedback to the campus administration. Directors enjoy a prestigious and responsible position within the University community. Alumni interested in serving on the Board of Directors may apply online or contact the Alumni Association to request an application form. All applications must by received by February 1.
Nearly 300 guests gathered on Saturday, October 23 at the Highlander Union Building to celebrate the second annual Chancellor's Dinner to benefit UCR students. The event recognized the 2010 Alumni Awards of Distinction recipients André Quintero '96 B.A., Robert Del Grande '81 Ph.D., and Rickerby Hinds '94 B.A.
The UCR Medallion was awarded to Arthur and Peggy Littleworth in recognition of their extraordinary service, dedication and generosity to education at UCR.
The event included performances by several UCR students and student groups.
