The Reentry Scholarship Program

In 1985, three former reentry students, Joyce Vickery ('74, '76 M.A.), Barbara Moore ('78, '83 M.A.), and Peggy Voss established the Reentry Scholarship to provide assistance to mature students whose education was interrupted by two or more years. This volunteer-driven effort has raised an endowment of more than $40,000. Qualified applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Reentry student – over age 25, pursuing a bachelor's degree after an interruption in their education of at least two years.
• Complete application packet with transcripts and letters of recommendation
• Financial need as determined by the UCR Financial Aid Office
