    The Walter A. Henry Prize for Business Ethics or Humor in Advertising

    Walter A. Henry joined the faculty of what was then the Graduate School of Administration at UC Riverside in 1972, soon after its founding. He served as Associate Dean of the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management for five years before becoming Interim Dean in 1992. During his tenure, he touched many lives as a faculty member. Walter Henry was a strong advocate of business ethics and was fond of humor in advertising. Criteria for Selection:

    • Any undergraduate student may apply for this award in their sophomore or junior year. Senior year students may apply if they will be entering any UCR graduate program the following fall quarter.
    • Student applicants must have at least a “C” average.
    • Selection criteria will be based on
      • 1) relevance to the chosen topic
      • 2) creativity or scholarly content
      • 3) execution of submission
    • Recipients will be notified in the summer and will receive their awards at the annual Scholarship Recognition Brunch.
    • Applications must be received by the UCR Alumni Association no later than 4:30 pm on Thursday, May 29, 2008. Late applications will not be considered!
