Student Recruitment

UCR Needs Your Help!

Help UCR recruit the best and brightest students for the class of 2009! We need alumni volunteers at the upcoming Chancellor’s Reception student recruitment events held throughout California. Alumni serve as ambassadors for the campus sharing their positive experiences and memories of UCR.

The main role of the alumni is to talk with prospective students and their parents about the alum's experience at UCR, reasons for choosing UCR and what their education has done for them. The interaction with alumni, along with UCR parents and current students, at these events has proven key in UCR’s recruiting efforts.

"Because I do not qualify for financial aid, the Alumni Association Freshman Scholarship helped pay my UCR fees. It is comforting to know that alumni care about undergraduate students like me and that they are seeking to help us by providing much needed scholarships." -Esther Oh
