Ruben Barrales ('84) is president and chief executive of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. Barrales has an extensive background in both government and private industry. He joins the Chamber after five years serving as deputy assistant to President George W. Bush, where he was the President's liaison to state and local elected officials. The San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce is the largest metropolitan Chamber on the West Coast.

As the #1 seed, the UCR women have a first round bye and will play Friday, March 9 at 12 noon and with a win will play Saturday, March 10 at 1 p.m.

The UCR Alumni Association Board of Directors is a dedicated group of volunteers which establishes Association policy, reviews programs, and provides feedback and suggestions to the University administration.
Nominations to fill the offices of directors whose terms expire this year may be made by the Regular Members of the Association on written petition signed by not less than 25 such members in good standing and filed with the Executive Director at any time between the publication of the Nominations Committee's report and one week prior to the date of the Spring Meeting of the Board of Directors.
The UCR Alumni Association Nominations Committee proposes the following slate of nominees to serve a two-year term beginning July 1, 2007:
