| In Memoriam - Distinguished Professor of Physics Benjamin C. Shen passed away on July 12, 2007 after 38 years of service at UC Riverside. Prof.
Shen was instrumental in the building of a strong and well-respected high energy particle physics group at UCR, where he served as Chair of Physics three times, from 1988-1990, 1991-1993, and 2003-2005. He was for many of the faculty, the face of Physics both on and off campus. His sense of humor, integrity, ability to empower, and passion for life were contagious and will be remembered by his many friends and colleagues.

Marjorie Arca '87 was named to the Milwaukee Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” list for 2007. The Forty Under 40 list recognizes the professional accomplishments of young business leaders in the greater Milwaukee area. Marjorie is a pediatric surgeon at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin where is she is considered as one of the rising leaders in her field.
